WE ARE CURRENTLY HIRING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:

Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

The Maintenance Tech must possess a variety of skills encompassing most of the skilled trades including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, etc. Performs tasks that primarily require physical abilities and effort involving lifting, reaching, stooping, extended periods on your feet, climbing ladders, power using power and hand tools.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain and implement preventative maintenance for shop equipment, vehicles, building, and grounds

  • Keeps an inventory of supplies, equipment on hand, and requisitions needed supplies. Orders parts/ supplies as needed.

  • Knows and follows all safety rules and proper procedures associated with the responsibilities of the job; Assist outside contractors ensuring safe operation while onsite.

  • Inspect, maintain and report on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other related systems in all departments of the facility including process equipment.

  • Provides troubleshooting support as needed.

  • Manage day to day activities which include all work orders, contracted outside services, and facility

  • related emergencies.

  • Responsible for the problem-solving process to resolve and/or mitigate those issues that may have a negative impact.

  • Work with other departments to identify problem items and develop solutions.

  • Communicate and share knowledge with other team members; find solutions to problems encountered.

  • Assist emergency services as needed including burglar alarms, fire alarms, and facility(s) issues.

  • Executes plans and prioritizes jobs to their importance; considerations include Safety, Operations, Impact, and then others.

  • Oversee outsourced grounds keeping, snow removal, and cleaning service.

  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

  • May be needed in production-related roles based on absences and production schedules.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to read, interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
  • 3 – 4+ years of facilities experience with preference in trades including equipment maintenance and repair, building maintenance, grounds keeping, and/or property management

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Sufficient physical strength and agility to carry out essential duties.

  • Ability to erect and stand on ladders and platforms at heights up to 30 feet.

  • Ability to work with paint, cleaning equipment, chemical compounds, solvents, cleaners, and solutions in dry, liquid, powder, spray, and aerosol forms

  • Ability to paint, clean equipment, and operate motorized equipment as needed.

  • Ability to work in conditions that will create dirt and dust.

Project Manager

Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing a job from start to finish. Potential to move into the Senior Project Manager role in the future, based on performance.

Essential Functions

  • Gather project information from estimator and hold kickoff meetings to get input from all departments and communicate initial schedule

  • Work with detailer to ensure customer needs and timeframe are met

  • Coordinate customer approval process for drawings

  • Order steel for jobs and coordinate delivery with the operations manager

  • Coordinate transfer of approved job to fabrication

  • Coordinate erection of steel by ironworkers

  • Serve as a hub for GIS internal and customer-facing communication

  • Ensure smooth construction process for the customer as a customer advocate within GIS

  • Field measurements as required for project

  • Attend job meetings for customer project as needed

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Deep understanding of the construction process

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

  • Ability to read, interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents

  • Working knowledge of blueprints and other construction documents

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Office job with regular trips to fabrication floor

  • Includes site visits – walking and climbing on construction sites, measuring, using ladders

Structural Steel Fabricator

Position Summary

The Steel Fabricator is responsible for welding and fabrication of structural steel based on detailed plans for construction and industrial applications.

Essential Functions

  • Operate fabrication shop machinery and equipment
  • Read and execute cut-sheets
  • Read detailed fabrication plans
  • Accurately measure work-piece dimensions based on drawing specifications
  • Maintain drawing specified quality levels
  • Properly complete paperwork when job complete
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Able to pass a welder qualification test

  • Physical ability to meet job requirements

  • Ability to read, interpret drawings, instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents

  • Math skills required: using whole numbers, fractions (add & subtract), & decimals

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Fabrication job with lifting, standing for long periods, walking, bending, reaching over your head, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
